KMO '2009
Fourth International KMO Conference
Knowledge
management and service science
Taipei ,
Taiwan June 23-24, 2009
The service sector now
dominates the economies of the developed world.
Service innovation is fast becoming the key driver of socio-economic and
increasing academic and commercial research attention. In
order to succeed in developing and sustaining competitive advantage,
enterprises must identify challenges and opportunities quickly and
succinctly, while managing the transition process in an innovatory manner.
This
means that we need to build
our futures on knowledge combined with technology and innovation. Knowledge
is the key to gaining and sustaining competitive advantage. Understanding
knowledge as a key resource for service innovation can be seen as a
knowledge management problem. Today most service systems are knowledge
intensive systems. However, research in knowledge management and service
science (or Service Science, Management and Engineering ¡V SSME), is still in
its infancy. This conference aims to bring together researchers from
academic and industries to address the importance of this topic.
The
Fourth
International Conference on
Knowledge Management in Organizations (KMO) aims at providing an
international forum to present and discuss research focused on knowledge
management and
service science
issues, as well as to shed light on recent advances
in
knowledge-intensive
service systems for
organizations.
The scientific objective of
the conference is to identify challenging problems for the development of
knowledge management systems and service systems, as well as to identify
future directions of research in the integration of knowledge management and
service innovation between academia and industries.
This conference calls for
papers that offer provocative, insightful, and novel ways developing
knowledge management and service systems from different perspectives. |
